Our
Story
The story of uBlossom began with a deep passion for supporting people with disabilities.

Our founders, with over 15 years of experience in the Community Services Sector, witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by those living with disabilities, specifically mental health conditions, developmental delays and acquired brain injuries. They recognized a significant gap in support for individuals entering or on the verge of homelessness, particularly in developing essential daily living skills and having the space to be themselves.

Driven by a desire to make a difference, they set out to create a service that empowers individuals to embrace their independence and achieve their goals. This is how our uBlossom was born, and we are excited to be on this journey with you.

Hi!

Previously, I enjoyed working as an Allied Health Occupational Therapist Assistant in an Acquired Brain Injury Ward. Here I worked with people who had cognitive impairments one on one to assist them in gaining back daily living skills.
I have also completed roles as a Disability Support Worker in companionship work, focusing on living skills and build rapport with participants.

I also have over five years working in the homelessness sector, specialising in working with homeless youth within Crisis Refuges, Outreach Case Management and Early intervention programs in Case Work.

I am dedicated to improving the quality of life for people by providing tailored support to meet their unique needs. I take the time to learn about my clients and enjoy building rapport. It’s incredibly rewarding watching participants work towards and maintain their independence through achieving their individualised goals.

Hey!

I have been working within the Community Services field for over 10 years. During this time, I have had extensive experience within the youth homelessness sector across Crisis Refuges, Outreach support with people sleeping rough, Community Engagement and Early intervention programs in both Case Work & Youth Work.

I have also been Oncall support for a disability service state wide ensuring service provision is run smoothly, support workers are offered advice and procedures are adhered to.

Upon reflection of the support I've provided vulnerable clients over the years, my proudest achievements have been with those living with a disability. To see a person's outlook on life change, to be able to empower them to become more independent and witness them name and achieve their desired goals has been a strong highlight.
I am excited to bring a new perspective with on working with people with disabilities with a strong emphasis on Empowering Growth & Nurturing Independence.
